Bourbon Cocktails

In our opinion there is nothing better than a well made Old Fashioned.  The ingredients are pretty simple but craft is in building it right.

The Ingredients:

• 3 shots of Bitters (we prefer Angastora Orange)
• 1/2 tsp Sugar (Demerara is the classic - bonus if you can find the sugar cubes)
• 2 oz Bourbon (that's up to you but something top shelf)
• Orange Curl
• Cherry (premium cherries are crucial - we prefer Luxardo)
• Ice (large cubes slow the melt)

The Build:

1. Prepare the base - add the sugar with about a teaspoon of warm water and 3 shots of bitters in your glass.  Stir until dissolved.
2. Add the ice cube.
3. Pour the bourbon over the ice and stir.
4. Twist the orange peel curl to release the oils and rub the rim of the glass.
5. Add 1 or two cherries.

Also a favorite bourbon drink.

The Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz bourbon
• .75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
• .5 oz Demerara sugar simple syrup
• .5 oz raw egg whites
• 3 drops of Angostura bitters for garnish

The Build:

1. Add the bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg whites to a shaker and dry shake for 2 minutes.
2. Pour contents over ice into a bourbon glass
3. Garnish with Angostura bitters and lemon slice
